Fashion Friday, Outfit Post – Union Street Melbourne CBD!

Hi Lovelies,

I thought I would share with you my fashion friday, outfit  post!

Yesterday after work I stayed back in the city and had some fun with friends, so of course I put together a fun outfit that was relaxed and stylish.

I decided to wear my white long Dotti top, a crop denim jacket, my black jeans from GAP and my red peep toe wedges from Kmart.

For accessories, I wore my guess watch, a beautiful leather red bracelet from Wilurban Berwick, my Tiffany and Co bracelet and a beautiful pair of gold bedazzled earrings from Lovisa.

For my makeup, I used some new exciting product and opted for a dewy look with bright lips. I wore Mac cosmetics Up the Amp lipstick, which I love, it is a beautiful lavender, violet shade. I also had on my Chanel perfection lumiere foundation, orgasm blush from NARS and albatross highlighter from NARS. For a bold finish, I made sure my lashes were in full force and used Jordana best lash extreme volumizing mascara.

The look is really polished, with the combination of my red wedges and bracelet and my Ump the Amp coloured lips, paired with the black and white in my outfit, overall the look is really fashionable.

Stay sweet xoxo

Fast Foundation Advice – Tip #2

Hi Lovelies,

Ever wondered what the best method of applying foundation is… well the answer is simple, it is simply a preference and what works well for you. However, here are some key application tips for different methods of applying foundation!

Fingers

Using your fingers works well with liquid and cream foundation formulas. It can also provide you with the sheerest cover, as the warmth of your hands helps to melt the base onto your skin.

Tip – Make sure your fingers are clean

Sponges

Sponges provide more coverage and are good for blending cream to powder or thicker liquid foundations.

Tip – When applying foundation with a sponge, tap, don’t rub the base into your skin. This will ensure you have an even finish

Foundation brush

A foundation brush gives you a heavier, more velvety finish, because you are painting on a liquid or cream base. This is ideal if you are going for a flawless polished look.

Tip – Make sure you clean your foundation brush regularly

My Favourite method off applying foundation is using a foundation brush.

My most loved product is the Sigma Flat Kabuki Brush F80. To see how it applies foundation, watch my youtube makeup videos on my channel MakeupbyDulcelissa.

Fast Foundation Advice – Tip #1

Hi Lovelies,

Foundation is probably one of the most important steps in creating a flawless look, so applying an undetectable base is the first step!

Here are some simple tips to ensure you make the right choices.

Tips:

If you’re shopping at a department store

#1 – Swipe three possible matches on your lower cheek or jawline (the shade should closely match your neck as well as your face)

#2 – Take a mirror and head towards a window or outside so you can see what it looks like in the natural light (very important)

#3 – The colour that fades into your skin without .much blending is the winner

If your shopping at a drug store/chemist

#1 – Determine whether your skin tone is pale/medium or dark

#2 – Using your skin tone, use the bottle shade name as a guide

#3 – Pale skin tends to have redness, so it’s best that you stay away from pink-tonned foundation, look for colours like beige or buff to neutralise redness

#4 – If you are in the middle/medium look for tones that have warm undertones. Choose colours like warm , medium or golden.

#5 – Dark skin hues should look for colours like tan, sable or chestnut

Remember these handy hints next time you are looking for the right foundation. Be sure to keep in mind that the right foundation does not mask your face but simply blends out any of your imperfections and still shows the true beauty of your skin.

Enjoy your day loves and stay sweet xo

Makeup Tips #4 – Eyeshadow

Hi lovelies,

When it comes to eyeshadow, one of the more favoured techniques is the smokey eye.

To widen your eyes, use a lighter shade in the inner corner and fan outwards with a darker shade.

Hint 1 – Applying the eyeshadow with a brush will give your eyes a transparent look, which is always best.

Hint 2 – A small touch of iridescent powder on your corner of your eyelids will make them look larger, as well as a lighter shade dusted on your brow bones just under the eyebrows.

Hint 3 – An essential component of a smokey eye is creating the v shape on the outer corner of the eye and remember always blend your eyeshadow.

My favourite brushes – Sigma beauty makeup brushes.

I hope this helps.

Fashion Friday – Outfit post, Bourke Street Melbourne!

Hi Lovelies,

I thought I would share with you my fashion friday, outfit post!

I was heading to Bourke Street Melbourne after work with my husband for a casual dinner, so I wanted to look chic but comfortable at the same time.

I decided to wear a new top I bought at Zara, paired with my black GAP jeans and my favourite Tony Bianco black suede flat boots.

I went simple with accessories and just had on my Tiffany earrings and bracelet.

However, I made sure my makeup was the main attraction! I wore Mac cosmetics Rebel lipstick, which I adore, it is a beautiful purple, red shade. I also had on my Chanel perfection lumiere foundation, peaches blush from Mac, Urban Decay Naked 2 palette on my eyes and Mac mineralise skin finish in soft and gentle. For a bold finish, I added a winged eye using Mac black track liner.

The look is really glamorous and striking with my Rebel coloured lips, paired with the tonal blacks in my outfit, overall the look creates this timeless and elegant feeling.

Makeup Tip #3 – Cat eye liner

Hi lovelies,

If you use gel eyeliners to create a cat eye effect, a good tip is to always pick a thin and supple brush to create the look. Remember not to put too much liner on the brush, this will be the best way to prevent smearing and runs.

Have a great day and remember stay sweet! xoxo

My new favourite is MAC black track liner

If you are not a fan of Mac or would like a cheaper alternative that is still great in quality, try Maybelline eye studio lasting drama – Gel eyeliner

Makeup Tip #2 Eye Pencils

Makeup tips #2 – Eye Pencils

Did you know that eye kohl pencils should be warmed up first with your hands, this will make the colour more dramatic when applied on your eyes or water line.

Hint – Apply your kohl pencil between your lashes for greater depth. Lightly pulling on your eyelid will help draw colour underneath. Finish off the look by smudging the liner with a brush but beware of closing off the outer corner, it can result in a heavy look.

My favourite eye pencil is MAC cosmetics eye Kohl pencil in TEDDY.

Hope this helps!

Easter Day in Melbourne!

Hi Lovelies,

Happy Easter! I hope you all have had a wonderful day, with lost of love, laughter and food.

I thought I would share with you all my outfit that I wore for my family dinner.

It was quite cold in Melbourne and I was wanting to go for comfort but still something that was dressy and effortless.

I wore my GAP jeans, a white shirt from Zara and Mollini boots that I have had for years. I thought the colour combination really worked. It was dressy but still not over the top for my family dinner.

I went simple with the accessories and just wore earrings from Lovisa.

My makeup was natural but I opted for a dewy finish. I used Australis high lights as a base and used Mac studio finish foundation. I used warm apricot and latte eyeshadows and finished off my eyes with a sleek black cat eye. I finished off the look with Mac Angel lipstick.

This look is very versatile and wearable.

I hope this inspires you to create fabulous looks for any occasion.

Have a great day and stay sweet xoxo

Makeup Tip #1 Eyes

Makeup Tip#1 EYE PENCILS

To find the right pencil for you, test it on the back of your hand to achieve the right texture. If it is too dry, it won’t leave as much colour as you’d like and you could hurt yourself by having to apply it too hard. Pencils that are too soft, will undoubtedly smudge.

Hint 1 – For maximum precision, look for a soft yet firm tip.

Hint 2- For maximun hold, gently stretch and hold your eyelid closed with a finger while applying the pencil across the whole lid.

My favourite is Benefit cosmetics BAD gal liner

I hope this helps!
