Fashion Friday Outfit

Hi Lovelies,

My inspiration for this outfit, was my shirt from Tobi, an online store which has great, unique clothes at an affordable price.

When I walked into work on casual friday, which I commonly call fashion friday, my colleagues coined the term, farm chic and farm glamping! I do have to say, I definitely did feel like I had an edgy farm vibe!!

I paired my cute blue and grey flannel top, with my favourite light denim boyfriend jeans from Dotti, which just have the right amount of style rips and my new Pronto Black heels from Lipstick shoes. These shoes are a dupe for a similar pair that were in Zara, which unfortunately Melbourne Zara never got.

For makeup I went with warm neutral tones and used one of my favourite nude toned lipsticks from Mac called, Honey Love. My hair was straight but I added some volume with big sexyhair, play and spray and I really feel that my ombre (balayage/dip dye) hair was perfect with this look. Overall, I really loved this outfit, it was edgy but still feminine at the same time, as well as being on point with current styles that are popular at the moment.

I hope you like it, enjoy!

Stay sweet xoxo

Fashion Friday outfit post – Melbourne CBD

Hi Lovelies,

It has been a while since I last posted my Fashion Friday outfit posts, the fashion has still been happening on Friday’s, but things have been crazy busy!

So after work last week, my husband and I went for a walk to an alley way off Bourke Street Melbourne, to take this photo. We thought that this was the perfect location considering the outfit that I was wearing. After that we went straight home for pasta and for some much needed rest.

I decided to wear my leather pants from Portmans, I have had them for a while but needed some courage to wear them to work. The reception was great, people loved the look and it generated some office buzz on a Friday! I paired my leather pansts, with a gorgoues deep red knit from Zara and some amazing black suede ankle boots from Sportsgirl.

For accessories, I wore my Michael Kors gold watch, my Tiffany and Co earrings and bracelet.

For my makeup, I used some new exciting products and opted for a statement lip. I wore my Mac Studio Fix fluid foundation, setting it with my Mac Studio Fix powder. I used Mac peaches blush and NARS albatross highlighter to emphasis the top of my checks and brows. I used Maybelline Lasting Drama gel eyeliner and created a winged cat eye and finished the look off my NARS lip pencil in Damned. I loved my makeup that day, it was simple but worked so well with the outfit and I felt dramatic without having a whole lot of makeup on.

The look was so fun and in trend, the different textures paired together with the colour combination worked so well. I loved wearing my leather pants with a knit jumper, pairing the two with ankle boots really gave it that edge.

Try pairing different textures and colours for this Autumn and Winter.

Have a great day guys and stay sweet xoxo

Top 3 Makeup tips for green eyes!

Hi Lovelies,

For all my green eyed beauties, here are my top 3 tips to having captivating green eyes!

1. Play with purples – Bring out your gorgeous green eyes with makeup that is red-based. To widen the look of close-set eyes, apply shades of deep plum eye shadow toward the outer edges and a lighter shader of purple toward the inner eye. If your eyelids are a little droopy, do the opposite. Avoid purples with blue undertones, as well as blue eye shadow and eyeliner. Dark green, lavender, purple, plum or lilac tones work best for green eyed ladies. Gold and copper are great for highlighting green eyes.  A general rule of thumb for green eyes is to choose warm shades vs. cooler shades.

2. Avoid silver – If you want to experiment with metallics, avoid silver shades on the eyes. However, bronze, copper and gold looks absolutely fabulous with green eyes for the evening. Brown or dark green eyeshadow with flecks of gold are also terrific choices.

3. Skip the black eyeliner – Everyone loves black eyeliner but it isn’t the best choice for green-eyed beauties. Use chocolate brown liner for everyday. To spice things up, try grey or gold. To open up your eyes and make them pop, add a little white eyeliner to the inner corner near the tear duct.

Follow these tips and you will be the envy of all friends. I hope this helps and inspires you to try different shades and techniques.

Stay sweet xoxo
